A note on pricing: Over the years, we have sought to make the Gathering increasingly more accessible through a range of bursaries, low-income tickets, and other options to lower the price point for this event that has no corporate or other sponsorship. While the final price you pay includes four full days of programme, as well as food and accommodation for the whole event, we are aware that this year’s ticket price is still higher than you might have been expecting. 

Unfortunately due to a range of circumstances beyond our control, including global price rises (particularly in food and fuel costs), two years of event cancellations due to the coronavirus pandemic that have reduced our financial buffer, and some last-minute venue changes that left us with extra costs, it has been challenging to create a Gathering at a price that is accessible to all while remaining viable for GEN Europe and fair to our host community, who generously offered to host us at very short notice. We share this in the spirit of transparency, with hope for your understanding and with a commitment to striving for a more accessible event in future years.
