ABOUT THE WORKSHOP HOLDERS:

Mieke Elzenga has been a Social Entrepreneur since 1982 in the Netherlands and Czech Republic. With her organization Liberta Care Foundation (NL) she supported Dutch youngsters involved in regional development about sustainable life-styles.

Petra Schepens has been involved with community building since 1995, in the different aspects of ecology, economy, social and cultural. Gained experience in these areas in collaboration with various parties to realize communities. Recently set-up a youths home in Ecovillage Bergen in NL.

Building bridges for sustainability: exploring tools and frameworks for inner and outer development

Have you heard about the UN SDGs – Sustainable development goals? What about the IDGs – Inner development goals? How could these global frameworks support us connecting the dots to transition to a regenerative future? This workshop will explore Gaia Education’s UNESCO supported tools to engage with multiple stakeholders in diverse contexts to support co-creating regenerative environments & communities.

ABOUT THE WORKSHOP HOLDERS:

Peter Gringinger is a SDG Programme Coordinator and change agent, employs whole systems and regenerative design for sustainable futures. He is a Gaia Education certified trainer, GEN Ambassador, and actively involved in GEN Australia and Austria, with a focus on regeneration training and education

Taisa Mattos is Gaia Education Face-to-Face Programme Coordinator & Gaia Schools Coordinator, leads Ecovillage Design Education since 2009 across Brazil and globally. Taisa worked for the Global Ecovillage Network for several years as the Education and Research Coordinator. She still serves GEN as a consultant and trainer. ICSA (International Communal Studies Association) board member. Co-founder of Terra Una Ecovillage. CASA Brasil member.
