The Gathering is an annual celebration that brings together people from ecovillages, regenerative communities, and allied movements across Europe and beyond. It’s a space to connect, learn, and co-create — where ideas turn into action and community becomes a lived experience.
Each year, the Gathering explores a theme that speaks to our shared moment. In 2026, we invite you to Dare to Trust — to rediscover trust as the foundation of resilience, cooperation, and hope in uncertain times.
Workshops, dialogues, art, and music weave together into 5 days of inspiration and renewal. Whether you come to share experience, learn new skills, or simply reconnect with what matters most, the Gathering offers a meeting point for all those building a more caring and regenerative future.
"I love to be among people who seriously believe that a new world is possible. At the gatherings, I meet the passion of young people and the thoughtfulness of elders who have thought deeply about how it is possible and why it is difficult."
"The Remembrance that WE are powerful together, and that we are a Change for a better world."
“If the world is to be healed through human efforts, I am convinced it will be by ordinary people, people whose love for this life is even greater than their fear.”
This year, our Gathering invites us into a simple and demanding question: in an age of war, climate collapse, and growing inequality, will we dare to trust?
Trust is the quiet force that makes community possible. Without it, cooperation fractures and fear takes the lead. Ecovillages exist because people chose to trust one another enough to share land and resources, make decisions together, and believe in human creativity and care.
In times of heightened uncertainty, choosing to trust in each other and our collective capacity is the most radical act.
Together we’ll explore what it means to trust — in each other, in the Earth’s capacity to heal, in new economies of care, and in our collective ability to create a liveable future.
All are welcome.
The Gathering is for everyone, and we aspire to create an event that has a truly welcoming, fostering a community feel. Families, farmers, artists, activists, politicians, scientists, experienced ecovillagers and novices alike all have their place in this gathering that combines wisdom and delight – workshops, talks, panels, music, movement, arts and plenty of time for sharing and connection.
